Comparison between permanent magnet motor and ordinary motor for cowshed fan: saving electricity means saving money

In modern cattle house management, the use of fans is essential to maintaining a good breeding environment. When choosing a fan motor, the difference between a permanent magnet motor and a common motor cannot be ignored. This article will compare these two motors in detail, so that you can see the economic benefits behind power saving at a glance.

Take a 0.41kw permanent magnet motor as an example. Its speed is 720RPM and its efficiency is as high as 86%. In actual operation, this motor consumes only 0.476 kWh of electricity per hour. If the fan works continuously for 24 hours a day, the daily power consumption is 11.424 kWh, and the total power consumption in a year (365 days) is 4169.76 kWh.

In comparison, an ordinary motor with the same power (0.41kw) has a speed of 700RPM but an efficiency of only 58%. This means that when it provides the same power, it consumes up to 0.706 kWh per hour. Under the same working hours, the ordinary motor consumes 16.944 kWh per day, and up to 6184.56 kWh per year.

By comparison, it is not difficult to find that the use of permanent magnet motors can save up to 2014.8 kWh of electricity per year compared to ordinary motors. If a cowshed is equipped with 400 such fans and the cost per kWh is 0.45 yuan per hour, then the cowshed can save up to 362,664 yuan in electricity bills in a year.

In summary, choosing a permanent magnet motor not only means more efficient energy utilization, but also represents tangible economic benefits. For a long-term operating cattle shed, such a choice is undoubtedly a wise investment.
